May 9 - A vast, unexplained sinkhole threatens to swallow the small East Texas town of Daisetta.

Geologists are still trying to figure out what caused the sink hole, and if there's anyway to stop it. Officials say the sinkhole's growth has slowed overnight, while local residents are keeping their sense of humor, naming it "Sinkhole de Mayo."
