Chile experienced one of Latin America's fiercest May Day battles this year, with 10,000 protesters clashing with police in central Santiago, resulting in the arrests of an estimated 60 people.In Venezuela, a group of workers and political opposition followers marched through the streets of Caracas.When the march attempted to cross police barricades and continue on to the National Assembly building, scuffles broke out with police, who turned tear gas bombs and rubber bullets on the protesters.
