Equifax was first hacked on March 10th, according to a report from cyber security firm FireEye. But it's not clear whether the March hackers were the same ones who later stole the personal information of 143 million Americans. Equifax said that that breach started on May 13th and lasted until July 30th. The company didn't disclose it until September 7th. A FireEye spokesman declined to comment. SAP National Security Services' Mark Testoni says he wouldn't overreact. (SOUNDBITE) MARK TESTONI, PRESIDENT, SAP NATIONAL SECURITY SERVICES (ENGLISH) SAYING: "When you discover a penetration you may not know the full scope of it. It might have been a couple of penetrations. We really don't know the answers yet because the company really hasn't provided that information or they haven't put a complete public discussion out on this, and they may have some valid reasons for that just from the standpoint of vulnerabilities." Equifax earlier said it fell victim to another, unrelated breach to its payroll in March.
