Laura and Kate Mulleavy, the two sisters behind Rodarte, have turned their sights from high fashion to independent drama, releasing their their first movie, "Woodshock." Starring Kirsten Dunst, the film is a dark thriller about a young woman's psychological descent after the death of her mother. Kate said they brought their years of running a fashion label to the business of filmmaking. SOUNDBITE: Kate Mulleavy saying (English): "It's interesting. The way that I see our fashion affecting in this work is that as people that have an independent company and having run it for 12 years or almost 12 years, you really learn to be a creative protector of the ideas and the vision behind what you're doing and that is something we could very solidly bring into film." The film has received mixed reviews, with some praising the artistic visuals and dream-like sequences, while others found the plot to be tedious. But good or bad, all reviewers agree on the movie's uniqueness - and that's what the sisters were going for. SOUNDBITE: Kate Mulleavy saying (English): "I do believe that you should make things and believe in what you have to say and fight for that. I also know when you make anything that's not homogenous and not cookie cutter and understandable in the typical straightforward way, that will be provocative and that's exciting." "Woodshock" opened in U.S. theaters on September 22.
