Ukraine secured the release of 106 captured soldiers in a prisoner exchange with Russia on Thursday. The soldiers, including eight officers, were captured fighting in the devastated city of Bakhmut.
Bakhmut, a small eastern city that has for months been the target of a Russian offensive, has seen intense fighting and destruction in what has become the longest, bloodiest battle of the war.
