Bulgarian honour guard soldiers take part in the annual Bastille Day military parade, July 14. Delegations from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria marched ahead of the traditional French military parade, each national carrying their respective national flag. The countries - all NATO members like France - have been in the international spotlight since Russia invaded Ukraine in February, with many of them sharing borders with Ukraine or Russia.
