Iranian missiles target U.S. troops in Iraq

What appears to be new damage at Al Asad air base in Iraq is seen in a satellite picture taken January 8, 2020. Iran fired missiles at military bases housing U.S. troops in Iraq, an act of retaliation for the Jan. 3 U.S. strike that killed Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani. The Pentagon said Iran had launched 16 short-range ballistic missiles, at least 11 of which hit Iraq's al-Asad air base and one that hit a facility in Erbil but caused no major damage.
