Princess Diana's revelations about sex and sorrow to be aired on British TV

British broadcaster Channel 4 will broadcast private tapes of the late Princess Diana ahead of the 20th anniversary of her death. Saskia O'Donoghue reports

It's been nearly 20 years since she died, yet Princess Diana is still capturing the public's imagination. In a documentary planned to coincide with the 20th anniversary of her death, British broadcaster Channel 4 will show footage of her speaking about her marriage during privately recorded sessions with an adviser on public speaking Ahead of the broadcast, one royal biographer has spoken out. INGRID SEWARD, DIANA BIOGRAPHER AND EDITOR OF MAJESTY MAGAZINE, SAYING: "I think it's just really unpleasant for anyone to listen to their parents talking about intimate details of their marriage." However, Diana's former personal protection officer doesn't think Diana's sons Princes William and Harry will be upset by the documentary. KEN WHARFE, DIANA'S FORMER PERSONAL PROTECTION OFFICER, DENYING PRINCES WILLIAM AND HARRY WILL BE UPSET BY THE BROADCAST OF TAPES, SAYING: "They'll see their mother being witty, being funny and being normal and being the very person they say she is, a loving individual. And that is what Diana is saying on the so-called tapes, tapes which just form a fraction of the running time of this documentary." Kensington Palace have declined to comment on the documentary, which will be shown on Sunday August 6.
