NATURAL ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Fifty years ago Ringo Starr recorded 'All You Need Is Love' with the Beatles and fifty years later on Ringo is releasing his 19th solo album 'Give More Love'. Once again the artist invited old friends including Paul McCartney to collaborate on this album which was written and produced in Ringo's home studio. 'Give More Love' features a mixture of musical styles and influences including rock, country, blues and Starr was happy to discuss how reggae had been the inspiration for one of the songs 'King of The Kingdom'. Whilst praising the modern way of recording music, Starr complained about the lack of venues for new bands to play in and commented that it's much harder to make a living for young artists since record sales are much lower than they used to be. However, he still provided encouragement and guidance to young music makers. The album 'Give More Love" comes out on Monday (September 15).
