(ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. Senator John McCain received the National Constitution Center's Liberty Medal on Monday (October 16) for his "lifetime of sacrifice and service" to the country. He was presented with the award by former Vice President Joe Biden at the Philadelphia museum. In accepting the medal, the six-term Republican senator from Arizona made bold references toward Trump, condemning "people who would rather find scapegoats than solve problems," and slammed "half-backed, spurious nationalism," which should be considered "as unpatriotic as an attachment to any other tired dogma of the past that Americans consigned to the ash heap of history."
