Scientists at Switzerland's EPFL are continuing their efforts to one day reverse paraplegia in humans by making rats with spinal cord injuries walk again. Scientists led by Grégoire Courtine are helping the rodents control their otherwise paralysed back legs with the help of robot-assisted rehabilitation and electrochemical spinal cord stimulation.
